Little Tokyo versi Jakarta sejatinya merupakan sebuah kawasan kecil di wilayah Kebayoran Baru, Jakarta Selatan. Lokasinya di depan Blok M Square yang meliputi Jalan Melawai VI, Jalan Melawai VII, Jalan Melawai IX, dan Jalan Melawai Raya di kawasan Blok M, Jakarta Selatan.<\/p>\n

Konon kabarnya, kawasan di sekitar Aldiron Plaza, yang kini menjadi bagian dari Blok M Square, telah menjadi tempat berkumpulnya para ekspatriat Jepang yang bekerja di Jakarta sejak tahun 1990-an. Dan seiring berjalannya waktu, jumlah ekspatriat pun makin meningkat. Begitupun kebutuhan mereka, baik kebutuhan sehari-hari maupun hiburan.<\/p>\n

Alhasil, sejak itu pula berbagai restoran, bar dan karaoke dengan nuansa Jepang pun bermunculan di kawasan ini. Restoran Kira Kira Ginza, misalnya, telah berdiri di Jalan Melawai Raya sejak tahun 1985. Restoran autentik Jepang ini termasuk salah satu restoran tertua yang tetap populer hingga kini.<\/p>\n

Jalan Melawai VI adalah titik sentral di Little Tokyo Blok M. Bayangkan saja, di jalan sepanjang sekitar 200 meter itu berderet sedikitnya tujuh restoran autentik Jepang. Aneka makanan khas Jepang bisa ditemukan di sini. Dari ramen, sushi, hingga sashimi.<\/p>\n
